Pierre's Portraits

 

My passion for painting was nurtured through formal training at the "Les Beaux Arts" school in Toulouse and an apprenticeship with renowned Korean artist Hyun Soo Choi in Paris. 

 

Travels through Europe, America, Asia and Africa heightened my appreciation, not just of their cultural heritage, but of the bold colours and shapes that make up this amazing planet and of the minute differences in light and personality that etch such unique characteristics into the faces of people living on it. This led me to create a new style of portrait that celebrates the vibrancy and individuality of people’s lives. 

 

Having previously produced large abstract pieces on private commission and exhibited at the Valleix Gallery in Paris, I hope these smaller paintings will instead find their way into family homes around the world as a daily reminder of just how colourful our lives can be.
